Meet Dr. Trujillo
Dr. Trujillo has been practicing dentistry since 1997. Having earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine at the Boston University School of Dental Medicine, he set up his own periodontal clinic in the city. This is where he worked until 2004 when he moved to Phoenix Arizona.
What drove him there? The temperate climate? If you’ve experienced a Boston winter before, then you’ll be inclined to say yes.
Dr. Trujillo has been recognized by his peers in the periodontal industry with the honor of Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. This accolade is only given to people who go above and beyond in their profession.
Dr. Trujillo has received plenty of other accolades over the years, including Top Dentist by Phoenix Magazine and Top Doctor by North Valley Magazine.
Dr. Trujillo retains a commitment to learning and improving himself. He was even a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Periodontics at Boston University School of Dental Medicine, one of the most respected dental schools in the country.
Meet the Team
Dr. Trujillo wouldn’t be able to do what he does without an excellent team supporting him and elevating the standards of the periodontal clinic. The clinic’s dental hygienist is Sharon Sanders, who has worked in the dental business for more than thirty years. More than half that time has been at Arizona Periodontal Group. As well as being excellent at her job, what sets her apart, and keeps patients coming back, is her dedication to building relationships and creating a positive atmosphere. Some people are afraid of the dentist, but there’s no need to be when you’re in Sharon’s care.
The front desk manager is Jessica Zumwalt, who is the first person you’ll meet when you enter the clinic. Jessica will help you get a great start with us. She’s been with us since 1999, so she knows absolutely everything about what to expect, the treatments, and payment options. In short, if you’ve got a question, she’ll be on hand to answer it. While she primarily works in an admin capacity, she’s just as passionate about oral hygiene as the rest of the team.
Abraham Garcia is the clinic’s dental surgical assistant. He’s the one responsible for all the essential tasks centered around treatment. If you need an x-ray or impressions taken, it is Abraham who does it. He’s got plenty of qualifications that make him perfect for the role, including a degree in Dental Assisting.
On reception, you’ll find Yanet Alcantra, who’s in charge of, well, just about everything. A multitasking wizard, she’ll help you make appointments, check you in and out, and ensure that the payment process runs smoothly. She’s equally as passionate about dental care as anyone else on the team and continues to further her education in the field.
